Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and each of their spouses regardless where they live) or members of the same household of Sponsor, The Sweepstakes Center, an independent judging agency (the “Sweepstakes Administrator”), and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, and anyone connected with the operation of the Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”) are not eligible to participate or be awarded a prize. Void outside of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not located within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
How to Enter the Weekly Sweepstakes Drawings: There are two (2) ways to enter the Weekly Sweepstakes Drawings:
Method #1: Filing Your Tax Return with Jackson Hewitt: Any eligible person who files their 2023 federal tax return at a Jackson Hewitt location within the Sweepstakes Period (and Jackson Hewitt electronically files that return on their behalf), provides Jackson Hewitt with a valid email address, and provides any necessary consents, will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes for the corresponding Entry Period noted in the Entry Period Chart below based on the date the tax return was filed by Jackson Hewitt (each, an “Automatic Entry #1”). Automatic Entry entrants are subject to all notices posted online, including but not limited to, the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at http://www.jacksonhewitt.com/Privacy-Policy/.
Method #2 Mail-In Entry: To enter without filing your tax return with Jackson Hewitt, you may mail in an entry, with your name, the date on which you filed your Federal IRS tax return, stated as “Federal Tax Return Filed on XX/XX/24” (YOU MUST STATE THE EXACT DATE YOU FILED YOUR TAXES for purposes of identifying eligibility for the applicable Entry Period), complete postal address, email address and phone number, in a #10, business envelope with proper postage to: “Jackson Hewitt Double Your Refund Sweepstakes”, PO Box 16470, Rochester, NY 14616. You must also include your Federal Return Filing Date on the envelope stated as: “Federal Tax Return Filed on XX/XX/24” (YOU MUST STATE THE EXACT DATE YOU FILED YOUR TAXES for purposes of identifying eligibility for the applicable Entry Period). Each envelope must be postmarked by the Monday immediately following the date your Federal Tax Return was filed and must be received by the Mail-In Entry Received By Date indicated in the Entry Period chart below, to be eligible for that Entry Period drawing. Entries that do not include your Federal Tax Return Filed on the envelope or contain all the information required above, will be disqualified from entry. Sponsor is not responsible for illegible, lost, late, misdirected, postage due, damaged or incomplete entries. Proof of mailing an entry is not proof of receipt by Sponsor.
How to Enter the Additional Drawing: There are two (2) ways to enter the Additional Drawing:
Method #1: Any person who is entered into one of the Weekly Sweepstakes Drawings will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Additional Drawing noted in the Entry Period Chart below.
Method #2: Completing the online entry form. Any person who completes the Additional Drawing entry form at jacksonhewitt.com within the Sweepstakes Period will receive one (1) entry into the Additional Drawing.
A person who successfully satisfies any entry process method described above shall be considered an “Entrant.” All attempted entries made in non-compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
Limit: One (1) entry per person in a drawing period, regardless of the method of entry.
Entry Periods: There are sixteen (16) entry periods as defined in the Entry Period chart below (each, an “Entry Period”). Non-winning Entries in a Weekly Entry Period will not be eligible for or rolled over to subsequent Weekly Entry Periods, however they will be included in the Additional Drawing.

Winner Selection: Potential winners will be selected in random drawings to be conducted on or about the Entry Period Drawing Dates indicated above, from among all eligible Entries entered within the corresponding Entry Period. All random drawings will be conducted by the Sweepstakes Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding. Each drawing is a separate and distinct Sweepstakes. No Entries from one weekly Entry Period will be considered for drawings for other Weekly Entry Periods, however all weekly drawings entries will be considered for the Additional Drawing.
Winner Notification: Potential winners will be notified by email, phone and/or mail and required to sign and return, where legal, a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Declaration”) and any other required documentation including but not limited to proof of IRS electronic filing acknowledgement and an IRS Form 8821 (for Mail-in Entries) within ten (10) calendar days of prize notification. IRS Form 8821 would allow Sponsor to contact the IRS to confirm the amount of the potential winner’s refund and the date the potential winner filed their tax return.
Potential winners will need to have filed his/her tax return during the Entry Period as noted in the Entry Period Chart above. If a potential winner did not file his/her tax return during the Entry Period dates as outlined in the Entry Period Chart, or if the winner notification is returned as undeliverable, or if the potential winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or he/she is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected in a separate random drawing for that Entry Period. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given. Potential winners may also be contacted via email or phone by their local Jackson Hewitt office and invited to their local office for a photo opportunity and to celebrate the winning of their prize.

The right to receive a prize is non-assignable and non-transferable and no prize substitution or exchange will be allowed except by the Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion of prize) of equal or greater value in case of unavailability of the prize or an event beyond Sponsor’s control.
It is the Entrant’s responsibility to ensure that their entry and contact information is current and accurate so that they may be contacted by Sponsor or the Sweepstakes Administrator if selected for a prize.
Other Terms and Conditions: The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Dispute Resolution - Arbitration/Class-Action Waiver. By participating in this Sweepstakes, you understand and agree that any dispute, cause of action or claim (“Claim”) arising out of, related to, or in connection with this Sweepstakes between you and any of the Released Parties shall be brought and resolved exclusively by individual binding arbitration in accordance with the rules and procedures of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) in effect at the time the Claim is filed. A copy of the AAA rules, forms and instructions for initiating an arbitration are available at www.adr.org or by calling (800) 778-7879. In an arbitration, a dispute is resolved by an arbitrator, or a panel of arbitrators, instead of a judge or jury. As such, you hereby waive the right to go to court, including the right to a jury, act as a class representative or participate as a member of a class of claimants with respect to any Claim submitted to arbitration or litigation, regarding any Claim you have against any or all Sweepstakes Entities. Prior to filing a Claim for arbitration with the AAA, each party agrees to first attempt to resolve the Claim informally by notifying the other party in writing of the issue(s) underlying the Claim and both parties shall work in good faith to resolve such issue(s). To initiate an informal resolution to a Claim with Sponsor, you must send a notice by first class United States mail to Sponsor at the address above, Attention: General Counsel: Double Your Refund Sweepstakes Dispute Resolution Request. To informally resolve a Claim with another one of the Released Parties, you must send the notice through their registered agent. If such resolution attempts are unsuccessful, a party may thereafter file a Claim with the AAA. No party may start a formal proceeding for at least 60 days after notice of an informal claim is made. If you file and prevail on a Claim, Sponsor will reimburse you for your filing fees and costs in connection with the Claim. You may elect to opt-out of arbitration by sending a letter (an “Arbitration Opt-Out Notice”) to Sponsor at the address above, Attention: General Counsel: Double Your Refund Sweepstakes Arbitration Opt-Out. The Arbitration Opt-Out Notice must include (1) your first and last name; (2) your postal mailing address; (3) phone number; (4) email address; and (5) a clear statement that you do not wish to resolve disputes with Sponsor through arbitration. The Arbitration Opt-Out Notice must be received no later than thirty (30) days from the date you were entered in the Sweepstakes. The Arbitration Opt-Out will apply only to Claims arising under this Sweepstakes and it not a general arbitration opt-out of all Claims with Sponsor or any Released Entity. In the event this Dispute Resolution provision is held unenforceable, in whole or part, you agree that all Claims shall be (i) governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of New Jersey, U.S.A., without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions that may require the application of the laws of another jurisdiction, and (ii) brought and heard exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Jersey City, New Jersey, and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and you waive all defenses of lack of jurisdiction and inconvenient forum with respect to such courts. In such cases, you agree to receive service of process by mail or other method acceptable under the laws of the State of New Jersey. ANY CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND/OR AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS SWEEPSTAKES. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS OR CLAIMS TO ATTORNEY’S FEES, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT AND WHETHER BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE.
